I wanted to learn about HDR so yesterday I downloaded a suite of editing programs called the Nik Collection, which included HDR Efex Pro. Today's experiment, of a rope bridge in a shady forest, was not a success however. So I used one of the the other programs in the collection, Color Efex Pro, on one of yesterday's shots. I found it quite amazing what could be done, though clearly this is fairly unreal and you could get a bit tired of too many landscapes like this.
thanks for sharing - this really does look amazing! I tried an HDR experiment yesterday too but it didnt work out at all, did you use one shot or three for this? If you have any tips for me feel free to share! Great first result:)
@izzyromilly I've only been doing it 2 days, so not tips yet. But I will say that I was very pleased with the in-camera HDR, which makes a jpg image from 4 shots, and which I only recently discovered. I regret not looking through my cameras menus and manual when I got it 6 months ago, as it is certainly a useful function to have available during sunny, high contrast days.
