We've a competition here of swiming in open waters the day of Christmas, called " Copa Nadal".

It might not be the height of summer but it looks a lot more appealing than the North Sea off the East Coast of the UK where I live and where hundreds of hardened souls go dipping on Chrismas Day!

Will enjoy following you during the year, especially your trip to Lofoten, we were there this time last year and absolutely loved it. Hopefully you will get good Northern Lights in March.

@sdutoit Thanks, I know what you mean. Our local paper had a photo of this event on their front page this morning, but nobody was smiling. From the look on their faces, you know these people are having fun.

@judithdeacon Thanks for the follow, I will reciprocate. Would be pleased to hear of any tips you might have, for photos or itinerary. We are taking the Hurtigruten from Bergen, then stopping at Svolvaer/Lofoten for 3 nights, then continuing on the Hurtigruten to North Cape and Kirkenes.
