Not a cheese. The Garrotxa range of mountains, created by volcanic activity, lie in northern Spain, between Barcelona and the French border. Jasper and I were hiking in the High Vallespir today, and this was taken from the Col de Siern, just inside the border, at 1629m, looking South.
What a fantastic landscape, it sounded a fabulous post Christmas hike and a picnic to die for! - perhaps that comment was a bit inappropriate giving the circling vultures!
Beautiful cool tones; reminds of waves, frozen in motion or turned by some ancient power into mountains...maybe it's how that volcanic action worked...have to check out more of geology. Anyway, lovely image. And mouthwatering picnic!
