Jasper assiste au vide-grenier de Laroque des Albères
'Vide-grenier' literally means 'empty the attic' and they are popular events here. They have both professional sellers of bric-a-brac and local people selling stuff they don't want. Our village holds one in June and another October, both at the municipal camping site when it is free of tourists. The British term would be 'car boot sale', but I wonder what they are called in other countries.
The lady in this picture is smiling because she is looking at a weird man with a camera contorted into an odd position so that his dog appears in the shot but he himself doesn't. She probably doesn't realise she will be in the photo too !
