Saint George and the big lizard by laroque

Saint George and the big lizard

Saint George is a multitasker, serving as patron saint for many countries, regions and even the Boy Scouts of America. Here in Catalonia he is called San Jordi but he is the same Slayer of Dragons and Protector of Turkish Virgins (as it was so wonderfully put in 'A Knight's Tale'). This sculpture was in the market place at Thuir. Can't help thinking that Game of Thrones did dragons better.
Cool statue!
