In addition to the yesterday post, I wanted to show you JULE, a hedgehog with no spines. We found Jule a long time ago and thought , she was a victim of an animal abuser, but happily we were wrong. We took her to different vets and to the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover (veterinary school), but nobody could help. It seemed to be a combination of hormone disorder and genetic defect. From time to time she got some spines, but they were very soft and fell off after a while. Jule's skin was nice to touch :)
She was running around in the house most time of the year, but in spring and summer she was outside in her enclosure. She was hibernating for many months, because she felt cold easily because of her naked body.

This cellphone snapshots are more than ten years old, sad to say Jule isn't here anymore :'( She was really cute and tame.
