Joshi doesn't understand why he's not allowed to come in. Sometimes it breaks my heart, but I have to think about my own cats first. Unfortunately my little cat group doesn't live in total harmony, and every additional cat means less time for every single one. And more stress, especially for Nefi and Wilma.
Joshi wants inside too. That is what Katniss did to me before I knew she was a pregnant stray. Every door and window, there she was. My heart would break. We started with the garage and eventually let her and her kitten in the guest bathroom and downstairs exercise room. After 3 months, the entire house.
@robz Thank you. Yes, I am :) Only Joshi's leg is still a bit injured from a fight, but he doesn't limp anymore. It's difficult to get him into a transport box, and I'm glad it heals by itself. Have a nice Sunday!
@aecasey You're so right, fore sure. Especially Joshua seems to be no cat for closed rooms. Though he tries to follow me into the house, he's probably just curious. He was inside the garage two or three times, but always left it after a few minutes, no matter how cold and wet the weather was.
Picasso (the little black and white one) loves to stay inside the garage and is there 23/24h a day. Maybe she would accept to live as a pet if she could get outside from time to time.
@gardenfolk It's wonderful how Katniss told you about her needs and that you were understanding her ♥ But Joshi wouldn't be happy inside the house. Maybe from time to time, but not permanently. And it's difficult to let one cat out while the others have to stay inside. I think this would cause trouble and jealousies. Joshi stands well with my tomcat Pollux, but the other cats don't like him and would fight against him.
@lastrami_ You know best the personalities of all you kitties and what to do. I only had to think about Katniss getting along with my dog Sophie and if I would have an allergic reaction to her. Katniss passed both with flying colors. She was respectful to Sophie who she knew was here first and I outgrew my allergy to cats somewhere along the way...
