In My Garden by laurentye

In My Garden

Yesterday, when I was looking at my garden from my window, I saw some red that wasn't there last week. Looked around my garden this afternoon, and there is a patch of these, whatever they are. They must have appeared sometime this week...

I like them.
Beautifully composed with striking colours. Like the depth of field, too.

@pilots_wife Thats the name that sprang to my mind too. Very pretty, Lauren.

Hey Lauren that 1.8 has come out again :-) just checked the Exif to confirm. Love this shot & the composition - well actually to save typing & my bad spelling I agree 100% with Matthew. The only extra bit I would add is the bud top left kind of leads my eye into the shot as it "points" at the flower.

@pilots_wife @anron thanks, then that is what I will call them!

Aquilegia or the common name Columbine. A very pretty garden flower, can see wild Columbine in the countryside along the hedgerows of roads.
