I've noticed that typically for me, years seem to fly by, with only a few memorable occasions that I can remember from the year - usually the big moments like weddings, holidays, vacations, birthdays, etc... So I think it's amazing that I now have this record of 2011 in pictures. I can look at each picture and remember that day and what I was doing, thinking, and feeling at that time.
This project has been wonderful for me in so many ways. There were certainly days near the beginning of the project when I felt like I wouldn't be able to actually complete it. But then it became such a normal part of my day that I couldn't imagine not doing it. But now here I am at the end and I've decided that I will not continue a year two. I've enjoyed this project so much but I know I can't commit to doing another year. However I do plan on stopping by every now and then to be inspired by the amazing talent here and to say hello (and maybe post a picture once in awhile).
The community here has been so wonderful! I've learned so much from everyone and am so happy that I've gotten to know some of you. Thank you everyone for all the support, comments, feedback, favs, views, and motivation. It's been amazing!

Congratulations on completing your project, Lauren. It's not an easy thing to do, more of an endurance task I feel. I can fully understand not wanting to do a second year as it can be such a commitment. I'm nearing the end of mine and I'm going to make the same decision as yourself as far as carrying on with 365. I'm considering taking the ace membership to keep my photos intact, and then download occasionally when the mood strikes. I have enjoyed your project.

@laurentye I was thinking about this last night, and for me it's not so much about the photos in a project, not a single one. This may seem a strange thing to say, but I'll explain. Anyone can take a good photo I believe, I believe everyone has. What has stood out for me have been the glimpses of the people behind the shots, what they've said and thought, who they are as a person. It was lovely getting to know you through the eyes of your project, Lauren. I just thought I'd add this as I see this as the true success of the site. Also make sure you let us all know come March with the arrival of your new born. Wishing you well. :)
