Spinning Pinwheels, Spinning Lives

A local bank has 200 blue pinwheels on display on their front lawn. The pinwheels represent the 200 children who reported sexual abuse on Cape Cod last year. It's really hard to take a photo of 200 pinwheels on a windy day, so I focuses on one, because each one is important.
This is a fantastic capture! Love the blues...unfortunately I just don't love what they stand for. But what a way to bring home a sobering statistic...one that needs to go down for sure.

Thank you, Paula and Bec. The exhibit is really sad, but really artistic at the same time, both in color and the choice of pinwheels spinning. They just seemed like the perfect metaphor.

If two hundred reported that means 500 occurred. nice job and message.

"so I focuses on one, because each one is important" Love that.

What a great idea. It must really be something to see, both beautiful and sad.

Beautiful! That is a lovely idea for them to use a thing so sweet and innocent as a child's toy to represent the innocent victims.

Ugh, that's just overwhelming but I'm glad they reported it, so many don't
