I found this little tiny mushroom growing under my porch yesterday and I've spent two days crawling through the bushes with my camera trying to do it justice. For some reason, I just can't get the focus where I want it to be. Maybe because of the brightness of the backlighting? Any suggestions appreciated.
Maybe if you try taking the photo at a different time of day, the lighting might be different. I like this thought...that's a really interesting mushroom. :-) It's like a perfect little parasol
Shoot away from the sun. But I have to tell you, this is a very nice shot. That is such an unusual looking mushroom. Where the light is coming from, that's where you should be shooting from.
Okay, you've convinced me to try again. Paula, I'm not sure I can fit in the spot where the light is coming from, but my neighbors already think I'm crazy, so why not try?
i really like the way this came out. the mushroom looks like it is made of tin or some other metallic material. It would be interesting to take the same shot at a different time of day and see what that brings. great job!
Wow--this is awesome. Maybe try setting a green (or other colour) backdrop of some kind to block out the light? Something thin, like a scarf, would filter it out.
