We spent the evening in Provincetown with our son and middle daughter, having dinner and walking around. My Canon camera battery died as soon as we arrived and it got dark so quickly, so I was a bit challenged with low light and just my p&s. I decided to play around a bit with processing.
This turned out beautifully! I love P-town and I have to admit that I'm slightly jealous. Somehow with all the years I was on Cape and with all the times I come back, I've never been to the Gorey house.... I didn't even know where it was until recently!
@stepheesue I almost added a ghost, but then I chickened out! I do have another version with a ghost that I made for a close friend who loves ghost stories as much as I do, but for some reason I couldn't quite post that here. I need to learn to be more playful and fun like you!
i love what you did with what you had. the tones are perfect for october...but most importantly happy to hear that you were able to spend that quality time with your son and daughter. i know how important they are to you...and how hard it is to get that time with them as they get older....(we got to take kyle to dinner last night....then he stayed home and hung with us..... ok..so he does have the SAT test today...but you gotta take advantage of what you can when you can...) xoxoooxoxox and as always your comments make me float! I really want to do something with you on a larger scale to make a difference in this world... :)
It worked out great as this is a magnificent photo. Beautifully composed and love the sharp triangle shaped peaks pointing up I to that gray sky. Looks a bit spooky.
I forgot to say a couple of things: 1. how are the fruit flies coming along?? and 2. I'm not sure my son (the one still at home) would currently recommend me for ANY job, much less one involving parenting. So Tommy might be better off with you. In fact, come to think of it, maybe MINE should come to YOU!!! ???
@yoshi I do always carry both cameras at the same time. My husband bought me a nice Canon backpack that holds all my gear and I take it with me everywhere I go, even the grocery store, where I took my photo of the day today.
@robinwarner Ms. Robin, we have so many things to talk about...and I interviewed someone this week who gave me a great resource about how to make projects actually happen...ie funding. I'm going to do some research before you head East...
ditto what stephanie said ... the ghosts were just shy that day but I'm sure they're there somewhere. you and robin will be magic together in any project you take on.
=)
has an ominous tone to it
do you carry around both cameras at all times?
