This is a filler from yesterday because re-entry from even a mini-vacation is always hard for me. I still have one more story to write tonight. But I love this farm and this photo, so I'm glad to include it. All the regular sized trees are near the big barn and then there's another field behind that stand of large pines. The bohemoth ones that I love are out in the netherlands surrounded by the babies.
I love Christmas tree farms! We have loads near the cabin too and they're just so picturesque:) I have a hard time getting back into the swing of things after holiday too - take your time and keep posting lovely fillers in the meantime:)
very pretty capture of the farm. i agree that trees are a great crop to grow ... artificial trees take years and years to break down and a real tree is chipped into mulch ... great choice,
@ellen No, Ellen, I was just a few hours north. My camera time is set wrong and I've been too busy to fix it. I got your message and will take care follow your instructions. As the mom of teens, I totally get that.
@pwallis Oh sweet Paula, I did not want to leave Vermont, so I may take your advice. Filler Tuesday or Filler Wednesday does not have the same cache as Filler Friday, but it may ease my week. Plus I was so inspired in Vermont (and four days off of work surely helped that!).
@5unflow3r Miss Trina, why on earth would a tree farm make you sad? Did you see all those little trees growing right next to the big ones? Cool beans and one of my favorite wishes is to own one of these farms. If only I was younger...
@sunnygreenwood This farm also has signs saying to put your tree in the back yard for a habitat for birds, which we do. But others in our area use theirs to prevent beach erosion. Also excellent.
oh it is magical peaceful and wonderful my dear. sounds like you had a great holiday..it know that because you even had to do a "re-entry" ...that is a sign of a wonderful, relaxing and blissful weekend away. xoxoxo
Beautiful scene. Nothing like a red barn with mountains in the background, snow on the ground. I'm glad you take the time to find the perfect tree. It's a nice family activity to prepare for the holidays.
That one on its own...huge!
Keep writing my dear! Deadlines suck!
