After a long day, I stopped by a beach I don't visit very often and just sat in the sand and looked at the sky and water at high tide.
My only companions were four teenagers who arrived by bike and sat in various states of relaxation apart from each other. Those kids reminded me that this was the very first beach I ever visited on Cape Cod, when I was just 17 years old. My boyfriend at the time and I decided we would rather have a weekend by the sea than go to Prom.
Somewhere in my photo closet, I actually have a film print that is very similar to this image. This is what I fell in love with...this is why I live here.
LH, you were so smart to pass on the prom & enjoy the beach instead! I wish I had done the same! The prom was all hype and full of nervousness! This beach snap is so calming and glorious! Sending you a big hug! :-)
