This is my photo for the word "solitude" in the June Word Challenge. It also really captured the day here today - high 50's, very windy, and oh so gray. This is actually a color photo of the day, not a b&w. It felt more like April than June, but soon solitude will be hard to come by on our beaches, so I didn't mind being the only person here at Saint's Landing.
Hard to believe that this is a color photo, Laurie - but everything has been so dismal and gray around here, I suppose the area does look like this today! I was inside most of the day finishing up the yearbook - had no desire to go outside in the cold rain. Love the ominous clouds!
Best time to go to the beach, when no one else is there... wish our days were as gray as this.... rained most of today here.. and been at least 4 hundred years since we saw the sun..
@ptowncook My whole body is freezing! I had a fire in the fireplace last night and plan to build another one tonight. What is with this weather? It's like winter coat season.
Looks very much like it is here at the moment. Great shot for "solitude". I'm planning on putting the heating back on, sat here with a cold nose and feet!!
