I posted a sunset on summer solstice last year, so I wanted to make it an annual tradition. My two guys went to the beach with me after dinner and my favorite photo was this one with their reflections in the tidal pool. It was a happy accident for the first photo of the official summer season, which began at 7:09 p.m. (EST) tonight according to the Farmer's Almanac.
This a great solstice shot laurie, love to framing of the 2 folk by the waters edge in the distance. No such luck for us - the rains are in heavy, don't know about summer solstice, I reckon we're right back to winter!
Thanks so much for your comment on my coin flipping - it's the friendships on here that give me encouraged inspiration...I never thought I'd make 600 and I also am only taking it day by day...I'm lucky that things calmed down at work a little for me and allowed me space to do other stuff as well as squeeze a little 365! The upcoming london commute might lift me again or could squash me flat, we'll see :o). Hugs xxx
Lots of pairs here and so much on which to comment - some reflected, some not ... Boats, people. sandwiched pairs ... It's cool. And the light is gorgeous. Nicely captured.
This is lovely Laurie - love the reflections and the colours! For us it is the shortest day of the year and cold and miserable! So nice to see an uplifting photo - faved this one!
It couldn't be more perfect! Fav of course. Rich had me on the phone last night, sorry. Do you think this would make a nice poster for my frame on the back porch?
fav!
oh Laurie, isn't it so hard to keep up? and i feel so bad when i'm not able to. it's nice to know that others are feeling the same way and understand!
@paulaag It drives me crazy when I can't keep up, Paula, and I almost dropped out because of it. But I've noticed alot of year two people are having the same trouble.
