Friend or Foe? by lauriehiggins

Friend or Foe?

This week is all about getting ready for our vacation in Maine next week. Tonight I dropped my car off at our mechanic's shop to make sure it is ready for our trip. When I got there, this dog stood between me and that little hole in the white door where I needed to drop my keys. Fortunately he was friendly.

Sorry I'm falling behind in commenting again. I have to do two weeks worth of work this week since I'm going to be away next week.
Those are long legs!! Kind of Dane-like ... Has to be friendly!

Have a great vacation in Maine!

GREAT capture! He does not look very nice to me...I would have been scared. A lot of body shops and stuff keep dogs to attack/scare off trespassers and stuff. But, the dogs are usually inside their fence...I'd hope any dog they let stand between you and that key drop would be NICE !

@espyetta Oh MaryBeth, I actually was scared. The lot was empty and my husband had not arrived to pick me up. And that dog was like a statue. I've been friends with my mechanic since he was 16 and I was 18 and his brother is my neighbor. I know my guy's dog is a black lab, which is why this dog spooked me a bit. I waited until my husband showed up to take the photos. Backup is a good thing. Then the dog came over and was so friendly, I was embarrassed.

Love the story that goes with this! I can see why you would be a little wary!

That is a big dog - I would have been wary too! Have a great holiday and I am sure you will take lots of pics!

Oh yes, unless really known, I would have been a little hesitant too about approaching the door. LOL at Nikker's comment as I read it.

LOL at Nikker's comment, too. I'm with you on this day....getting ready to leave HI for 3 weeks means preparing beforehand for 3 weeks. I'm behind on posting AND commenting.
