Hurricane Sandy

I wanted to head to one of the ocean beaches to catch the huge waves, but the police are blocking access for safety reasons. Plus I didn't want to get trapped in my car by fallen trees, of which there are plenty. So I went to the Cape Cod Bay beach closest to my house, thinking I could walk home if need be. I got completely soaked and crusted with a fine layer of sand in less than five minutes. So me and my camera decided this would have to do as a representation of this hurricane today.

Cape Cod Bay is usually quite calm. This is the beach where I usually take sunset shots.

I love the bay when it looks like that! But you are smart not to hang around. That blowing sand can't be good for your camera lense. Nice shot of the storm. I felt like I was there.

Definately looks turbulent out there. Nice shot. Glad you were cautious. I went out in the AM before the really hard winds hit. But then stayed in the rest of the day.
