this one was about the length of my index finger - they get bigger - up to 20cm long. Here as in many places it is an invasive pest

@cariadon thanks! I had worked later than originally intended, so on the way home I stopped at a small clearing/lookout area in the jungle and walked around macro lens at the ready, I was sure I'd find something.

That's gross, and up to 20-cm? What a nightmare. Perhaps they need to introduce a French restaurant to control the pests ;)
