Nesting Golden Bosun Bird - they nest on the ground and often fall victim to feral cats
But this nest is being monitored electronically by the Parks and Wildlife officer and there is a sign saying cat deterrent devices have been installed. But for me, finding a nesting bird, provided she doesn't abandon her nest, has the promise of photos of a baby bosun - I'e seen photos and they are cuter than the baby boobies. The nest is very close to accommodation blocks so I am hoping this does not prove to be a problem for her
