In a light drizzle, we slowly made our way back to where we started. It felt strange to cycle into what I call “Sodom and Gomorrah” after spending so much time in the countryside. It was, however, lovely to arrive back, and our first stop was at Glen’s bar for a quick beer to celebrate Emiel’s 1635 km ride through Laos and Thailand. Well done, Emiel! You did amazingly well and it was a relaxing and fun trip!
What an amazing trip. I have just sat back for a couple of hours and read through all you recent entries. Thank you for giving such wonderful and fascinating detail and narrative. We have just spent ten months touring Australia but on four wheels rather than two and I loved every minute but have been glad to get home again for some R &R. Not sure I could do years on a bicycle - I am full of admiration!
An amazing trip this must have been. It is as if I were there too thanks to your info and narrative. Wishing you all times safe and wonderful trips to come. Emil seems happy too ;-)
