The Newcastle Customs House is a heritage-listed building designed by James Barnet in 1874. Located at the corner of Bond Street and Watt Street in Newcastle, it operated as Customs House from 1877-1989. Built in the Italianate Renaissance Revival style popular at the time, the building suffered damage during the 1989 Newcastle earthquake and reopened as a hotel in 1995 and is known as the Customs House Hotel.
Very well taken shot and interesting narrative. It's great when cities save old buildings to preserve architecture from old days. Thank you for the follow and I will benefit from viewing your great pictures even if I don't always comment.
