This is Calimero the only adult African elephant bull in Safaripark Beekse Bergen, The Netherlands. With the arrival of an female elephant (and her two daughters and one son) from Wuppertal Zoo (Germany) its hoped he will produce offspring.
We are getting baby elephants born every now and then at our nearby San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. These animals have some great textures on their skin. Interesting close up.
