Hang On My Feathered Friends

We have had rain and wind all day. The government in DC , area schools, and transit had the day off. There are already 50,000 in the metro area without power , thankfully I'm not one of them yet. The strongest winds are expected to hit within the hour and going through the night. Didn't leave the house other than to bring halloween decorations inside this morning. Was real surprised to see all these birds at the feed through my window. Can't believe they are able to fly in these winds.
Perhaps their stomachs dictate where they fly!

They are storing up for the famine after the storm! Nice shot of it, Leslie!

Yes, clearly they were filling up before the storm hit. Animals have a keen sense of inpending disasters.

Great capture, Leslie. Love all the birds hanging on and getting food. They will be somewhere safe and ready for the worst of the storm because of your feeding them. I hope all goes well for you and your family and so many through the night.
