It's Foster Chick Pick Up Day

There is a farm nearby that rents out chicks for a week at Easter. I found out about it a couple years ago but I always either forget or remember to late to do it. Thought it would be a great photo opportunity. This time I remembered and reserved my pair of chicks about a month ago. You get a cardboard box,two little saucers, food and bedding for the week. I just needed to supply a reading lamp with a 60 watts bulb to help keep them warm. The chicks are 3 days old and boy do they peep,peep,peep. They brought about twelve chicks out at a time from this trailer so they would stay warm while they went to their foster homes. I asked if I could get a picture before they shut the door. It's going to be an interesting week with chicks.
Sweet and what a wonderful idea to "foster" them. Looking forward to your week of chicks! ;~}

I am curious, what are your plans for the two chicks? When my kids were young and we lived on a farm, we got two chicks at Easter, raised them and kept them until one started chasing the kids around the yard!

@lynnz The farm rents them out for a week. So Saturday I will take them back. Most were families with young children being able to experience the chicks for a week. My goodness they sure do peep practically non stop.
