Rocket Lab launched their Electron rocket from Wallops Island, Virginia yesterday. It was the first Electron launch from the United States and my first try at rocket launch photography. Here is my CRAPTASTIC but memorable capture. Now if the spectators would have stood like statues for 143 seconds I would have nailed it. LOL I took this from the inlet in Ocean City, Md. which is 40 miles away.
The subject of the photo is the launch........NOT the people, and as such this is anything BUT craptastic! Amazing capture of the path of the rocket. FAV
Wow! I'm not sure what you have pictured in your mind, but to me this is great precisely because of the movement in the foreground, which contrasts with the stillness in the back.
