Forever Yours by lesip

Forever Yours

We decided to try and clean out the attic before we put Christmas back up there. We have boxes that went up there when we moved in 29 years ago.One of those boxes held my wedding dress. Not sure what to do with it. This dress holds a special piece of my heart. Thirty eight years ago my Aunt Felice was making me this dress and my mom helped sew the thousands of beads on it. One of my cousins was the fitting model since we lived in Maryland and my aunt lived in Texas. Years later it made the journey back to Texas for my cousin to be married in. It was returned and has been in a box till now. I will keep it out of awhile to admire it's timeless beauty and then pack it back up again.
What a lovely story Leslie, it looks really beautiful. 38 years ago - you must have been a child bride!!

It is absolutely beautiful, Leslie. It touches my heart that your Mom helped sew on the beads--that makes it even more of a treasure.

Gorgeous dress and what a treasure to have something your mother put so much effort into for you.

A wonderful shot of such a beautiful dress with so many memories. Mine was put in a box almost 35 years ago by the dry cleaner and it was yellow when I opened it about 15 years ago with a stain on it. It was the thing to do then to preserve it. Yours looks perfect.
