Mt.Airy is 15 minutes from the house and they had their fireworks tonight. Went for a spectator view tonight. Set my tripod up as low as it would go extending no legs and put my wide angle lens on. I finally got the shots I wanted during the finale. This little boy stood up and gave me the silhouette I wanted. Didn't realize till I got home and went through the pictures that I had a pretty close shot of the vision in my head. I had two shots that I really liked so the other is in my extra album.
Another late night but hey it was worth it. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look .
Wonderful perspective. Can you tell me what sort of settings you used to get the extended movement of the firework flares? You've done a beautiful job of it. Fav.
@khawbecker okay I just went back and looked at my shots in lightroom. I got 4 shots off in a matter of seconds and this was the last. I was using my cable release shutter on bulb and it was the finale so I knew to be fast (press release ,close release, press release, close release) not to blow out the shots. Guess I got lucky and this must be the very end of this particular firework before it fades. First 3 shots no tails this firework if that makes any sense. If not the finale where there is a pause in between fireworks I open the shutter as it goes up and close it when it fades that gives me the movement . I only brought the highlights and shadows down a little in lightroom so it wasn't so bright. Exif on right side shows settings of camera.
