One of my fellow photo club members posted about a cheapeakedockdog competition this weekend . Having no plans thought it might be interesting to watch and try to get some shots. Lots of different breeds and boy did they love playing fetch. Who could run the furthest and who could jump to highest .
@darsphotos I believe it was on a tripod at this point and I was using my shutter release cord. Most of the points from this location I had my 150-500 lens on .
@lesip Thank you for letting me know what you used, Leslie. Do you use this lens most of the time? Still looking at cameras and lenses as they are so expensive.
@darsphotos Definitely not . Mostly use it for birds in the backyard . It really needs to be on a tripod because of it's size.. My walk around lens is a 18-200 nikon zoom lens.
@lesip Thank you, Leslie. I was wondering about the main lens to use and seemed like one like you use is the best as it covers so many photo ops. I liked using the 18-55 and it came with the 55-200 but then one is changing them and I do not want to do that too often.
@lesip Interesting, Leslie. I love the Nikon that I purchased and returned. It did well for what I wanted it to do in the time I had it. Not cheap though. Do you change your regular lens much? You have to use another one for macro shots too? Thank you so much for answering my questions. I really appreciate it.
This is a classic. I'd love to see it as a close-up of the man and dog, though I do love seeing the rest of the context of the shot. Great timing and capture!
