This really doesn't capture how steep this street (Hill Street) is so you'll have to take my word for it. Rained most of the day today but did get out to walk the dogs for a bit. My legs were a little shaky after the walk going up and down so many hilly streets. It's a very good workout and you need to be careful. My brother stepped on some wet moss growing in between cracks in the sidewalk and down he went hurting his shoulder. Thankfully after a few minutes he was able to get up and walk the rest of the way to my sons home. He does not plan to do Hill street again.
@khawbecker WOW... If you have time for a photo walk while here let me know. It would be funny that we live pretty close to each other but our first meetup is on the other side of the country. Drop me an email and I'll send you my phone # if you're interested . lesip@verizon.net
@grammyn no it was this gray. It's 6:30 am here now and I can hear the rain :-( it's been raining since we arrived Tuesday but if the weather.forecast is correct today should be nice with more rain tomorrow. My calves are so tight from yesterday's walking. Guess it could be worse.
I've found steepness hard to truly capture in photographs. I don't know why that is and if there is a trick to it. Anyway, I think you've achieved it. This is wonderful!
I love this photo, Leslie. There is nothing like SF. Too bad you are getting so much rain though we need it badly. Not so bad here in the Sacramento Valley, a sunny day today. You will have time to get used to walking like you did. I rarely flip through the "Home" photos and knew this one was yours right away. Looks like home, well growing up that is. Not sure if this street is as steep as the one I grew up on in Daly City. Learned how to drive in SF on the steep streets. I sure hope we can meet up. Have a great day. FAV
@lesip I have not walked the streets of SF or Daly City in so long. We are always in the car. You will definitely get into shape if you are not already walking there.
