Well, not really they were so close to not being able to launch. Can you believe almost not enough wind and most landed really close to the launching field which Jane says is not normal. It was all I had ever imagined and so much more. I was the crazy lady with two cameras trying my hardest to see, enjoy and capture everything. IMPOSSIBLE !!! Hundreds of balloons taking off from the field in waves. IT WAS AMAZING !!!! Tired so tired but happy tired .....
What a spectacular sight this must have been. You have captured it well and your description of the day really brings it to life. Is that a helicopter over the mountains on the right?
Gorgeous capture- and I know exactly how you felt! Had my first ride this past Spring and had to constantly remind myself to "put the camera down and take in the experience"! fav
Oh, so, so fun......I would have loved to have been there!! Definitely on my bucket list, and have to just make it happen sooner rather than later!! This is a wonderful shot for starters....FAV!!
@taffy thanks didn't know it made it :-)
Photos and videos come nowhere near what you feel when I see it in person. Plus the whole area around here in New Mexico is wonderful. So much to see and do.
@lesip My mom and brother each lived there for several years and we had the chance to go to the festival one year. Unfortunately, it was years before I knew what I was doing with the camera so what a missed opportunity! Your shots really brought it all back -- wishing I could go again some day. I do love that part of the country and would like to spend a few months a year in Santa Fe!
