Liftoff

We had a wonderful time attending a light fest tonight. Thousands of people taking their turn lighting their lanterns from tiki torches. Seeing the sky full of lanterns was really cool and kind of reminded me of the Albuquerque balloon festival in miniature. Supposedly they are only lite for one minute before they go out but boy did they get up high. They are 100% biodegradable but they do have a team that goes out to retrieve them. I assume that happens tomorrow morning since was pitch dark
by that time. I had no idea how to shot this but figured I'd need a wide aperture so I used my 35mm wide open most of the time. I did put my flash on the camera to try and put a little light on the crowd. I'm happy with what I got and look forward to maybe giving it another try now that I know what to expect.
Such a lovely fun shot.
