Exactly 4 weeks ago mom broke her elbow. Surgery happened 11 days ago and today the elbow was freed from the surgery wrapping and the staples were removed. Hoping she has her first comfortable restful night since she broke it.
They sprayed the area with the staples with a cold spray that numbed it and she didn't feel a thing as the staples were removed. The picture just screamed ouch to me. My husband wishes they had used that cold spray on his staple removal from his hip surgery years ago. He said the pain as they pulled the staple out was as bad as the surgery itself.
This picture tells a story and I'm like you. I says "ouch" to me. I'm glad your Mom can be comfortable now. That spray sounds like a wonderful invention.
