We Have You Covered

These umbrellas were open and on the ground inside the souvenir tent outside the National Archives building on the fourth. Umbrellas and free fans were a very popular item that morning. The heat and humidity were oppressive and the umbrellas played double duty that day if you saved long enough. They gave you a little shade from the sun and when the thundershowers hit you had a fighting chance of staying dry till you found shelter. We headed home around 1:30 and I made it to the car right before the downpour. I just sat in the parking garage for 20 minutes and watched the lightning and rain before heading home.
Nice composition!

can i tell you that in high school, we were made to memorize those in our US history subject. my teacher and i were always arguing because everyday i would ask "why do i need to learn US history?" my brother (who lives in Chicago and is American) aced his US history subject and then many years later aced his citizenship interview because he knew US history so well. me, i just remember Washington, Lincoln and franklin (was he even president?) although i can still recite the Gettysburg address in its entirety, as well as the miranda warning.
