It was a magical night on the National Mall waiting for the full scale (363-foot) Apollo II to be recreated on the Washington Monument. The pictures do not do it justice as the smoke exhaust is moving around the rocket. Too Cool. Thank goodness this is happening in the evening when the sun goes down because the heat would be so BAD as it was we were a sweaty mess with the high humidity.
Oh I was hoping you would shoot this!! I saw it on the news and I think it's awesome. Super capture of it. Wish I were down there for it. We'll be in the area in a week or so but too late for this. My daughter is going this weekend.
