Still Standing

One of my new photog friends that lives at the beach invited me to join in on a trip out on Assateague's OVS (Over Sand Vehicle) area. Not owning a 4 wheel drive vehicle I jumped at the chance and made the 3 1/2 hour drive to the beach. We had perfect weather except apparently it hasn't been cold enough to kill off all the mosquito's. There are a handful of abandoned homes off the beaten paths that are now owned by the federal government. This one is located at the end of the Md./Va. line and was my favorite. I've seen pictures of it but now have my own. I think one good storm will bring it tumbling down. I have a few pictures to share in the coming days of our adventure.

The Maryland portion of Assateague's ORV zone in 12 miles in length and has a 145 vehicle limit. We were number 6 when we arrived at 9am. I think spring and summer are the times the limit is reached.
This house tells a story....
