A day to remember the fallen at the Somme. What I am assuming were the local TA's were marching around the town this morning and were getting ready for a formal parade later on a very wet morning
Listening to the story of the Battle of Somme is really sobering and it's important to remember those who were involved and how much we all owe to those who gave their lives in this sad War.
I think these were 'ghost soldiers' #wearehere. it was a national art performance with every soldier representing someone who had fallen at the Somme. i'm sure by now you have read about it. A very moving and poignant reminder.
