Brindister Loch by lifeat60degrees

Brindister Loch

I pass this loch everyday I travel to Lerwick and beyond. It's not an easy loch to photograph due to the number of overhead power lines between it and the road. A walk around the far side and over the hill is called for but that's for another day. Too cold and too wet underfoot today.

That’s a very intriguing little fence there - was it once a bridge or a walkway of some sort?

It looks chilly

@cocokinetic it’s to stop sheep moving from one field to another. In summer when water level is lower they could easily move over.

How interesting, looks a bit wild & woolly!

Thank you for the explanation. So the loch is sometimes also grazing land, even water levels allow.
