A good number of Whooper and Mute Swans on a rough looking Spiggie Loch this morning. This is the time of year when a lot of migrating swans rest over before heading further south A lot of family groups of Whoopers - not so much the Mutes. Some will over winter on various Shetland lochs but most head off. Mutes and Whoopers seem to be happy in each others company at this time of year at least.
