Happy Together

The Curlew did not seem to be too concerned about the robotic lawnmower. I think it was more worried by me and I was on the other side of the burn.
Ha, looks like a parody of a car advert with a new happy owner.

Great DoF, and love how sharp the Curlew is.

(Also, ISO 2000! Crikey, can't believe how un-grainy it looks. Was pondering an upgrade to my 70d, which most definitely does not look that good at high ISOs, and the R7 is in the running. I'm impressed!)

Nature and modern technology together - a stunning capture :)

Oh that's a great capture - I was wondering what was behind the bird!

@plebster I’ve struggled a bit with the mirrorless cameras. Much lighter and with the adaptor I could use the existing canon fit lenses. The 7D is easier to handle with a big (600mm) lens to the extent that my old one is away being repaired. I have an R8 as well for full frame use but also preferred the 6D but it was beyond repair. I suspect however I’ve reached an age where technology is moving forward too fast for me!!

Ah, that's interesting. Thank you for the reply, Richard!

I was wondering whether the size would make a difference. The 70d has a nice feeling, but I'm not sure how much of that is ergonomics and how much is just what I'm used to.
I get along fine with the X100VI, but with it being a fixed lens it's nicely balanced. I need to find a shop where I can have a play with a number of options...
