The cruise ship Aidabella with 2050 passengers on board was due to spend the day in Lerwick.
The weather however was not favourable with a strong north-easterly blowing all day that was not going to make the tendering of passengers to shore very safe. It decided to give up around mid-day and head off for its next stop Kirkwall which will be a very slow journey.
A lot of rain forecast but it didn't come to much.
