Kjoorlie is, apparently, the Shetland name for the Redshank. Another bird I see most days but they only stand on these posts during the breeding season. Presumably they can keep an eye out for any danger while also keeping an eye on the nest. Quite easy to photograph on fence posts from the path along the Swinister burn.
