Wet and windy weather meant that there was nobody else about on my walk at lunchtime. That was probably the reason that this otter was on the Hoswick beach eating crabs and the like. If there had been many people about it wouldn't have been on that beach. As it was it spotted me after about 10 minutes and dived underwater with no sign of where it re-appeared.
Should have had my big lens but really too windy for that.
