That brings back memories. My mom lost her wedding ring while hanging clothes on the line. Dad managed to find the well worn ring, but he didn't tell her. He replaced it with a new one. He showed me the new one, even before he gave it to her. I felt honored that he did that. My folks are gone now, and I have the rings.
"Still Hangin' in There!" I hang most of my laundry out in the better weather of the year. I have one clothespin that's obviously an older style one because it has amazing clamp power to it, unlike the rest of the wooden pins that are weak in comparison. If there's something I definitely don't want blown to the ground I make sure to use that special clothes pin on it. This one pictured here looks like one of those good kind!
I love this! The blue sky; worn wood; sculptural subject; and your commentary...instant FAV! I love the look and feel of wooden clothes pins (although mine are new and lack the fabulous character of the one you photographed). I keep them in an old jar, because I like the way they look in there; and I use them daily to close bags of snacks, etc. Such joy from so simple an object!
Lovely capture!
