Awakening

On a whim I bought a red hibiscus yesterday. I’ve never had one, but the blossoms are so big and vibrant I couldn’t resist. This morning I looked out to see the blossoms yawning open in the rising sun. Tonight when I got home from work they were all fully open showing off their beautiful faces.
