Despite waking up to a drizzling, cold day we managed to finish the mulching. We had five cubic yards delivered, and it still wasn’t enough. My son, Andrew, was helping us out by shoveling the mulch into the wheel barrow. A couple of his friends came over and pitched in while they were waiting for him. The next thing you know, Andrew is standing on top of the mulch pile watching his friends shovel away. With many hands helping out we managed to finish the job in record time and retreat inside. The flower in the picture is my hibiscus again. It’s right outside the my door on the edge of the patio, and I’m tickled to death to find that hummingbirds are attracted to it!
The details of the raindrops are awesome! Looks like you have the next Tom Sawyer at home with you! I just finished mulching my little gardens and like you still need a little bit more to really be finished. But with the rain coming this week, that job can wait!!
Perfectly beautiful! Your hibiscus looks so lush and luscious with the raindrops. Like Ann's comment, I was thinking Tom Sawyer when you mentioned Andrew watching his buddies shoveling mulch! :) Glad you lucked into some good help to get the job done.
