Why is that Monday through Friday when my alarm goes off, I’m bleary-eyed and incoherent and then Saturday rolls around and I’m up before the roosters? When I finally gave up all hope of going back to sleep, I went downstairs to feed the dog and let him out, and noticed that there was a light misty fog hanging over the yard. Still in my PJ’s and not fully caffeinated yet, I jumped into my car to see if I could find a place to witness the sunrise. This is a golf course right next to my neighborhood. I parked my tripod next to a very small maintenance building and started taking pictures. All the while I could hear strange noises and thumping in the building. It almost sounded like chickens, but this building borders a busy road and some backyards so I can’t imagine chickens living there. This might require further investigation - when I’m not alone and in the broad daylight.
haha! I did the same thing! I woke up right away on a Saturday! The sunrise was pretty, but I didn't get in my car and take pictures. This is a great picture!
absoultely breathtaking! And this is a great story to go with it! Yes, investigate when it is daylight and you have someone with you! Sounds like a good horror movie plot. I just love this coloring in the photo. The curves of the hills frame the photo nicely :) A fav!
I guess you couldn't sleep because you sensed a beautiful sunrise was just down the street! The colors are beautiful and the light mist is perfect. I'm not sure what was thumping in your building, and I don't know how brave I'd be to find out!
@sarasdadandmom Seriously, I was really wondering what was going on in there. I actually walked around the building to peek in a window, but thought better of it. It sounded like chickens, but then there was a pretty loud bump against the wall. Creepy. Maybe I should call the golf course and tell them.
@sitiodown I grew up in Indianapolis and now live in Fishers on the outer edge of Indy. I work in insurance, and we write business all over the state so I'm somewhat familiar with Warsaw.
I have several relatives living in the Indy area - I spent a lot of summers in Greenwood, and still have some family there. My mom lives outside of Fort Wayne - she moved back after she retired (from MI) to be closer to her own mother.
