The dunes on our local beaches are dwindling down to nothing. Those of us who grew up here back in the 50's 60's and 70's can remember jumping off them, with towels over our shoulders, pretending to be Superman. The erosion is so bad, that mini boardwalks and wooden fences have been put up to help preserve them
