Every year on the last day, I have given my daughter a rose for every year of school she had left ahead of her. As I watched her walk across the parking lot this morning having taken the last final of her junior year, I could see the little girl who ran into my arms on the last day of Kindergarten, remembered the smile on her face and could feel the hug she gave me as I handed her a dozen roses. Today, I gave her one.
