The sky reflected in the side of Google Canada’s newest building on the Kitchener campus, which is still under construction. Kitchener, Ontario is home to Google’s largest R&D office in Canada, employing 1,500 people.
I remember when Google came on the scene. There were a number of search engines available at the time. They were, to some extent mediocre in locating what you were looking for. Then Google appeared in August 1996 and it was amazing how well it worked. More and more people started using this amazing new search engine. Fast forward 26 years and we are learning that Google has been spying on us. Tracking what we are looking at, how much we look at it, and then they sell this information to companies so they can change the way they present things (advertise) to get us to be drawn to their products and who knows what else. On top of that, they came out with the Android cellphone platform in Sep 2008 allowing them to gather more information on us. They know so much about us it is scary. And I believe that if you have an Android phone, they can listen to you even when the phone is shut off.
@skipt07 That is oh so true. And the scariest part is that everybody closes their eyes and refuses to see the truth and wants a smart phone. And I really doubt that IOS phones are any more innocent.
But it is tge era we live in, and we DO have a choice.
